Virtual Office - Teleworker Product Overview

teleworker

Teleworker trends continue to increase globally across all market segments.

The number of telecommuters and home-based workers is expected to continue rising over the next few years, according to Market Research. By 2009, 10 million U.S. workers, or 10% of its workforce, will be telecommuting. In Western Europe, 9 million workers are expected to telecommute, representing a growth rate of 10% from 2004-2009.

Businesses also have a compelling need (improved productivity, cost savings, increased employee retention, etc.) to provide a flexible working policy to their employees. More and more employees are being classified as “mobile employees”. These mobile employees often use a LAN connection when in the office, DSL or cable at home and wireless broadband when traveling.

Features & Benefits

The Blenheim IT Teleworker Solution enables businesses of all sizes to easily enjoy the benefits of teleworking through a low-cost, secure, "plug and work" solution that extends enterprise facilities and features to virtually any location.

Businesses can now benefit from reduced overheads and increased employee retention, while users can be more flexible and productive in how they work.

The Teleworker Solution is easily implemented using a range of Mitel IP Phones, and our 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP).

Local Access

With the Mitel Line Interface Module connected to a Mitel 5224 or 5330 IP Phone, teleworkers can enjoy the benefit of local line access from their Teleworker Solution IP phone. In the event of a broadband connection failure, local line connectivity is still achieved - eliminating work disruptions.

  • Employees who are required to work from home temporarily because of illness, parental responsibilities, etc.
  • Companies wishing to reduce real-estate expenses, take advantage of lower labour costs in an alternate location and/or improve employee satisfaction
  • Our least cost routing proffers savings of between 20% - 75% of BT call costs.
  • All calls between Teleworkers are free.
